Family

Would you believe it? I'm back again! lol. I had such a great time yesterday with my family. Well, I had to work on Christmas day as usual, but afterwards...I got all dressed up for our traditional family dinner at my mom's house. Let me tell you, that I come from a very large family. My mom had 11 children.....minus one, Sharon - my younger sister is deceased (RIP Sharon) I am #3!

So, picture this: All of us and our children (minus my 3) and some of their children and a few family friends, at a meet-up! We had prayers, exchanging of gifts, hugs and laughter, games, story telling...man, this was off the chain! The food was great and so was the company. My brothers took care of the music and games and the girls controlled everything else... you see, there are more of us than there are of them (heheheheheee). Seven girls! Not counting the grands and great grands- mostly females.

The menu consisted of Peas & Rice (yum), baked ham & Turkey with all the trimmings, coleslaw, macaroni & cheese (bahamian style), potato salad, crab salad, garden salad, fried plantains. We had cheese cakes, fruit cakes, pumpkin pie, potato bread, benny cakes and peanut cakes and drinks galore - alcoholic and non. I ate light....see, I'm a tote-rr (had my bag packed to go) lol. Don't drink soda pops, don't do alcohol.....so I made good with some good ole home made lemonade. lolol....party pooper, dey call me!

We had a grand time, even though I was missing my children (two girls in Canada and my son in Ft. Lauderdale).... We were together in spirit. God bless my babies so far away. Almost forgot my nephew (vince Jr.) who celebrated a birthday on Christmas day! Happy birthday, sweetie.... luv u, pucca..... By the way, my family is awesome, Luv u guys!!

I'll post some pics. later, I won't be in it ....I was the photographer! remember, my newest best friend? My Fugifilm digital, 8.2 MP camera? Aha!

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas to all you fellow bloggers! I am so excited, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Well, Christmastime is here... What a joy it is to celebrate Jesus' birth and the blessings of his love!

I love this winter weather, although we don't have much of a winter here in Nassau. It's cooler, especially at night. I am grateful for the opportunity to be alive and well, I would like to say that I wish you all God's richest blessings, peace, joy and much love throught the holidays and in the New year.

Can't leave without saying how grateful I am to God for opening my eyes to see and appreciate my natural attributes, I am so in love with my sisterlocks...it gives me a deeper appreciation for my health and well-being. I am so much more confident, I feel stronger, I walk a little prouder,I stand a lot taller and I move with grace and pride. Total new attitude. I believe in myself, respect my own opinions and welcome new challenges!....... that, becomes the queen that I am. I AM.....!!!!

Peace, blessings and fabulous locks!
